Description: Here's a very nice vintage American Red Cross Junior Life Saving Corps lapel pin. It appears to be made of brass, with a very nice red, white, blue and gold enamel finish. It's marked on the back "METROPOLITAN ARTCRAFT, N.Y.C.".
Actual Size: approx. 7/8" x 1/2"
Date: Not dated, but I'm pretty sure it's from the 1930s. (I'm basing that estimate on the fact that it belonged to my mother, who was born in 1916.)
Condition: Excellent, I'd say. It shows little, if any, wear, even under a magnifying glass. The pin's hinge and catch mechanism work very smoothly. (Please see scan.)
