Here's a very pretty antique postcard apparently designed to resemble an oval painting, matted and framed. It features a stone arch bridge that crosses a small stream, surrounded by trees. The card is entitled "AT EVENING'S CLOSE".
The back states that the card belongs to the "NATIONAL SERIES" and was "Made in Gt. Britain". It is "No. 853".
The card was postmarked from St. Louis, Missouri, on February 19, 1911, and is addressed to a Mrs. Ernest Mueller in Chesterfield, Mo. from Alice Theis.
Size: approx. 3½" x 5½"
Date: Postmarked 1911 but the card itself has no copyright date.
Condition: Very good, I'd say. It's obviously postally used but is only lightly soiled, with edges and corners that are just a bit chipped. (Please see scans.)
MULTIPLE ITEM SHIPPING DISCOUNT: I will ship up to 4 cards for the single base shipping charge shown. For purchases of more than 4 cards, the shipping charge will increase by just a small increment for every 4 additional cards.
