Description: Here's a standard-sized matchbook cover advertising "CHICAGO'S Most Famous" Henrici's Restaurant, located in the Merchandise Mart on Randolph St. in Chicago, Illinois, "Since 1868". One side shows an old-fashioned horse-drawn coach and the other shows the Merchandise Mart building.
There's no printing on the inside.
Produced by Universal Match Corp., Chicago.
Actual Size: approx. 2" x 1.5" (closed)
Date: Not dated, but appears to be from the 1960s, or perhaps earlier.
Condition: Just good, I'd say. The cover is just a bit soiled and the striker strip shows limited use. However, the striker area has some damage, likely from the removal of the staple when the matches and stubs were taken out. There's also an extra set of staple holes which goes through the striker strip and both sides of the cover. (Please see scans.)
