Description: Here's a vintage narrow matchbook cover from Honey Bear Farm, a restaurant and shopping complex in Genoa City, Wisconsin. The outside has a couple drawings of a bear and says the place is "open all year 'round". It gives the phone number in the old style as "BRowning 9-5222".
The inside says they're "Serving Luncheon, Tea, and Dinner". There are "Ten Specialty Shops" on "Twenty-Four Landscaped Acres on Powers Lake".
A "TEN STRIKE" matchbook manufactured by Universal Match Corp. of St.Louis and New York.
Actual Size: approx. 2" x ¾" (closed)
Date: Not dated but, judging by the format of the phone number, appears to be from the 1950s, or perhaps early 1960s.
Condition: Just fair, I'd say. The outside is a bit soiled, although the striker strip doesn't appear to show any actual use. However, there's some damage in the striker strip area, likely from rough removal of the staple that held the matches. There's also a small pin hole that passes through the striker strip and both sides of the cover. The upper part of the inside appears to have been stuck to the lower at some point, and there are noticeable paper pulls. (Please see scans.)
