Description: Victorian Trade Card - LION COFFEE - Woolson Spice Co., Toledo, Ohio
Very pretty card offered as a "MIDSUMMER GREETING" for 1891. The front features a woman in a white dress with two little girls and a little boy. The boy is holding a blue umbrella which matches his outfit, while one of the little girls appears to be shoveling dirt into a bucket.
The back tells folks to BUY LION COFFEE if they want a picture card like this.
Size: approx. 7" x 4 3/4"
Date: 1891
Lithographer: Joseph P. Knapp, Lith., N.Y.
Condition: Just fair, I'd say. The front of the card has some damage along the top edge and a semicircular closed surface tear near the bottom, below the word "Company". The back has several patches of surface damage near the center and corners, along with brownish glue residue all along the edges. There's a small crease across the upper right corner. (Please see scans.)
MULTIPLE ITEM SHIPPING DISCOUNT: I will ship up to 4 cards for the single base shipping charge shown. For purchases of more than 4 cards, the shipping charge will increase by just a small increment for every 4 additional cards.
