Description: Here's a nice road map of the island of St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, entitled "THE MAP OF MAPS", sponsored by AMERICAN EXPRESS. It's an official publication of the St. Thomas Merchants' Association, the St. Thomas/St. John Hotel Association, and the V.I. Auto Rental Association.
One side includes a road map (approx. 28" x 7") of the entire island, while the other side has street maps of Charlotte Amalie (6" x 12.5") and Frenchtown (5" x 4"), along with a small map (approx. 4" x 8") of the island of St. John. There are also many ads for businesses on the two islands, as well as informative sections with titles such as: Beach Guide, What To Do, Off the Beaten Track, Entertainment Spots, U.S Customs Hints, Photographic Locations, Dining, Lodgings, etc.
Size: Folded: approx. 7.375" x 4"
Open: approx 22" x 32"
Copyright Date: 1985 by OFFICIAL PUBLICATIONS, INC., of Christiansted, St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands
Condition: Very good, I'd say. The map is very clean, with no extraneous markings, but does show some minor separation at several points where the vertical and horizontal fold lines intersect, apparently having being unfolded and refolded (correctly) a number of times. (Please see photos.)
