Description: Victorian Greeting Card - RAPHAEL TUCK & SONS - "Wishing your New Year bright and joyous"
Here's a very pretty vintage New Year's card featuring an elegantly dressed young couple beside a fence. The young man appears to be holding a bird's nest with a couple baby birds in it. The young woman, who's holding a parasol, is looking intently at the nest. I don't see any artist identification.
The back carries a verse signed by Eden Hooper. At the bottom left is the Raphael Tuck "PRIZE EXHIBITION DESIGN" easel logo, but without any series number.
Size: approx. 5.25" x 2.75"

Lithographer: Raphael Tuck & Sons, London
Condition: Good, I'd say. The front of the card is only lightly soiled, but the back is covered with transparent glue residue which shows considerable crackling from age. The edges and corners are just slightly worn. (Please see scans.)
