Description: Very nice tie tack created from a United States 1936 Buffalo Nickel. The flat areas of the back (buffalo) side of the nickel have been filled with what appears to be black enamel, leaving the raised lettering and the buffalo itself in relief in their natural shiny silvery color. There's also a line of green paint or enamel along the "ground" that the buffalo stands on. An attachment pin is affixed to the face (Indian) side and a clear protective coat covers both sides of the coin.
Would make an interesting gift for any coin collector.
Actual Size: Approx. 7/8" diameter, plus chain and bar.
Condition: Used, but with fairly light wear. (The high-res photo magnifies some light surface scuffing which I don't believe is readily visible to the naked eye.) Pin, fastener and chain are in excellent condition.
