Description: Victorian Trade Card - DAY'S SOAP, Day & Frick, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Here's a nice large old advertising card featuring a young girl wearing a green coat and red dress, sitting on what appears to be a snow-covered rock. There's a sign post behind her and a basket of greenery on the ground by her side.
The back explains that by following the instructions on each cake of Day's Soap, a wash can be done in half the time. It also warns that clothes are not to be "Boiled, Scalded or Rubbed Hard"!
Size: approx. 7.5" x 5"
Date: Not dated.
Lithographer: Craig, Finley & Co
Condition: Very good, I'd say. The front of this thick card is only lightly soiled, but the back seems to have numerous light diagonal surface scrapes, as though it was once lightly stuck to something. The edges and corners are slightly worn. (Please see scans.)
MULTIPLE ITEM SHIPPING DISCOUNT: I will ship up to 4 cards for the single base shipping charge shown. For purchases of more than 4 cards, the shipping charge will increase by just a small increment for every 4 additional cards.
