Description: Here's a nice, standard-sized matchbook cover from the Red Lion Inns motel chain, which also included Thunderbird Motor Inns. Their properties were mostly located in the western United States.
The inside provides a list of states where the motels were located: Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington.

Date: Not dated, but likely from the early to mid-1980s.
Condition: Very good, I'd say. The cover is quite clean and the striker strip doesn't appear to show any evidence of actual use. (Please see scans.)
