Here's a neat little 1940 chocolate recipe booklet from the Peter Cailler Kohler Swiss Chocolate Co. of New York, the makers of Nestle's Semi-Sweet Chocolate. It includes 27 chocolate-based recipes beginning, of course, with the perennial favorite Toll House Chocolate Cookies, and continuing on to such delights as Brownies, Chocolate Derbies, Walnut Spice Cookies, Cocoanut Kisses, Refrigerator Cookies, Pin Wheels, Dream Bars, Oatmeal Cookies, Thinsies, Chocolate Orange Spanish Cream, Spicy Chocolate Bread Pudding, Chocolate Fudge Frosting, Fluffy Frosting, Chocolate Chip Ice Cream, Chocolate Macaroon Cream, Toasted Almond Clusters, Short-Cut Fudge, Chocolate Cream Pie, Velvet Chocolate Chip Pie, Fluffy Chocolate Cake, Economy Devil's Food Cake, Chocolate-Orange Chip Cake, Spicy Cup Cakes, Pecan Chocolate Loaf Cake, Nestle's Marvel Cake, and Sour Milk Ginerbread.
Inside the back cover, the booklet is identified as "Form No. 1086".
Size: approx. 2-7/8" x 5"; 32 pages
Condition: Very good, I'd say. The booklet is complete, with just slightly worn edges and occasional small stains.
